News: Support Kye's bikeride fundraiser for Children's Food Campaign

One teenager has got so fed up with being bombarded by marketing for energy drinks and sugary snacks, that he has been inspired to cycle around Holland to raise funds for the Children's Food Campaign and to promote our work. Kye Viney set off on 1st May with his dad to cycle the 1500km of the Ronde von Nederland route.  He is making good progress, despite some stormy weather early on. News: Consultation Response: Turning the Tables - Transforming School Food

A response from Sustain's Children's Food Bill campaign to the Department for Education and Skills' Transforming School Food consultation welcomes the thrust of the School Meals Review Panels report, but makes 18 specific supplementary recommendations. The introduction of nutrient based standards is one of the provisions of the Children's Food Bill, but these standards must be extended to all food available in schools and standards should also take account of sustainable development.
